Who’s Lisa?

903154_10100925273203859_1882108525_oHello! I’m Lisa, very nice to meet you.

You may have previously followed me over at my original travel blog: www.whereslisa.tumblr.com. I set up Where’s Lisa? to document my round the world trip in 2011 and whilst I’ve continued to write it since I returned, I felt it was time for a revamp. So welcome to the new and improved Where’s Lisa?, complete with lovely graphics designed by the VERY talented Claire Donaldson.

A bit about me?
As you’ve probably guessed, I love to write, eat, and travel in equal measures. Born in the Wirral and now an honorary Yorkshire lass after nearly ten happy years living in Leeds, my life is a perpetual quest for amazing food and adventures. I love discovering new tastes, flavours and experiences, and sharing them with anyone who’ll listen (or read)!

Interesting fact
In April 2013, I was chosen out of 600,000 applicants as one of 25 finalists for the coveted job of ‘Taste Master’, one of Tourism Australia’s Best Jobs in the World. I was challenged to get creative in generating as much publicity as possible in my bid to win, so I spent my two weeks of campaigning by being a Taste Master in Leeds. Although I didn’t win, the experience was amazing, reinforcing my desire to share my experiences of travel and taste. So here I am!

If you like to read about travel, adventure and one girl’s never-ending quest to discover the best veggie food in the world, you’ve come to the right place. Take your shoes off, make yourself comfortable and I hope you enjoy.
